Countries for Losers; Countries for Winners

A good way to divide advanced societies is to ask: which are the good ones if  you’re doing well, and which are the good ones if  you’re doing badly? Interestingly, the results are very different. An associated fact is that most of us do not, financially at least, end up winners.

BUT we all, naturally, want to be winners...

And so, consequently, a great many countries are designed to reward winners. These are the countries that pay a good deal of attention to optimizing the conditions of life available to people who win.

In such lands, like the United States, if one is a winner and falls ill, the hospitals are outstanding.
